Today and over the next few days, we see how our dream-seed from the Aries New Moon (April 5) is developing. Is it starting to take shape for you? The Full Moon brings completion to the cycle we began at the New Moon. During this lunar phase the Sun and Moon are 180 degrees apart, in an aspect (angle) called an opposition. This is the first of two Full Moons occurring in Scorpio. It is as if the cosmos and our higher selves really wish to drive the message home: What is it you truly desire, and what would it take to get it? What adjustments or sacrifices are necessary? Can you align your desires with the greater good of the collective?
Our emotions become magnified by the light of the Full Moon, as do our psychic perceptions, especially in intense water sign Scorpio. Coming to the surface at this time are financial matters, inner and outer security, intimate relations, fertility, personal power, trust and transformation. Sometimes feelings of jealousy or brooding moods can surface under this sign. So may the desire to dig in our heels, for Taurus and Scorpio are fixed signs. Because Taurus and Scorpio are opposite zodiac signs on the wheel, they pull energy from each other. As we focus on grounding and stabilizing ourselves through the earth element of Taurus, we notice that Scorpio reveals to us where we feel insecure. Indeed, one of the gifts of Scorpio energy is to show us all of the dark places, fears and taboos hiding within us. The message from the alchemical union of these two energies is that inner security and power is what creates our external security and power. As Scorpio is the sign of ultimate transformation, our soul’s growth is the cosmic hope during this lunar phase.

Sun and Mercury have just moved into Taurus: our focus over the next four weeks will be planning financial security and stability, and directing attention and appreciation to our bodies. We are potent with possibility, creative and fertile in all of its various meanings. Meanwhile, Mars and Jupiter are in a tug-of-war (opposition) over where to apply our efforts and ambitions: On the home front (Mars in Cancer) or on the career front (Jupiter in Capricorn)? The reality is that we can apply equal effort to both – though, trying the same old methods we’ve employed before may not be so effective. Venus is the apex (release point) of a cardinal t-square from the Mars and Jupiter opposition: something needs to be initiated in order to move this potent energy through our systems without getting clogged, angry, or scattering precious energy. We need to try doing something familiar, albeit in a new or daring way. And because Venus is sextile to Neptune, we have an opportunity (the essence of a sextile aspect) to offer our unique gifts to a wider range of people than we normally do. We are each called into service. What can you contribute to humankind, regardless of the size of your outreach? This is one of the keys to mastering the energy coming through us at this time. The trine from Mars to Uranus supports our humanitarian endeavours. But we might have to make some adjustments to the overall plan. Mars quincunx Neptune asks us to consider that something in our life no longer fits the picture. What has to give way now? The grand trine from Mercury, Pluto and South Node suggest that if we apply our consciousness and intention to releasing that which no longer benefits our life purpose, the sacrifice is easy. As you gaze at the Full Moon this evening, know that you are connected to everyone on the planet, and that we each share in the same light. Namaste.

  1. Great explanation as to what’s happening under the stars right now, Ms Piller. This certainly applies to what I’m decision-making about right now. And good to know that I’m right on track, as all decision making has to do with my place and contribution to the greater good, particularly as it relates to home and universe. Very interesting… Thanks! xo
