Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink.  I hope that Samuel Taylor Coleridge will forgive the slight paraphrasing from his epic poem, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. It speaks well to the irony of living on a planet that is comprised mainly of water when so much of it is tainted. (Gulf oil gusher, anyone?) And don’t get me started on the idea of taking a natural resource that used to cost nothing, so long as you had a tap, and turning it into a sellable commodity. Neptune – the planet that rules all of our waters – has re-emerged in its home sign of Pisces today, for the next 13 years. Make no mistake, this will change the ways we treat water. Unless contained or dammed, water has no boundaries. So who ‘owns’ it? Neither you nor I, you can be sure of it. Do a little rain dance. Then collect your barrels. Hopefully we still have the right to do that.
