Luna Muses

I feel at peace.

Is this allowed?

Surely there are things to attend to.

Floating

in a tranquil sea

can accomplish

no thing.

Perhaps I need

no thing.

Perhaps I need only be

Love.

Then let this be

the One

thing I do.

Today’s New Moon in Pisces offers us a fresh start.  It’s like a rite of baptism, but with a twist. The Piscean water erodes the conditioning you’ve unwittingly become attached to. Let it fall away. Imagine now a new beginning; a total connection to your centre, through fully immersing yourself in whatever you’re doing. Saturn is retrograde for months, opening our perceptions to the outer planets: Uranus (enlightenment), Neptune (unity-consciousness) and Pluto (re-birth). This means there is nothing to hold you back from connecting to Life’s ultimate experience: Love. Love awakens us, encompasses us entirely, and transforms us in the process. If you can imagine the new beginning you desire, you can create it by being Love. No need to wrestle with practical details; with Mars retrograde they’re likely to change anyway. Just believe and hold your vision.

Today’s Moon in Aquarius provides an environment to look in from the outside and to assess your situation from a dispassionate stance. If something needs to be adjusted, solutions come from a heightened state of awareness, so listen to your intuition. This day is ideal for seeking answers without fear of what you may learn.

"Row row row your boat gently down the stream - merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily; life is but a dream."

The Sun now enters the twelfth and final sign of the zodiac, Pisces. Over the next four weeks the soul’s work is done primarily in the unseen realms. It’s through the vibration of Pisces that we come to realize that this world is a dream; real existence is attuned to a higher vibration than the one we currently experience on Earth. You’re not even really here; your divine spark is just dreaming that you are! In the meantime, imagination, fantasy, creative visualization, chanting, dancing, film-watching, praying and any type of creative endeavor provide the streams upon which you can most fluidly travel. The intuition is heightened; the key is to not second-guess yourself when it whispers. Compassion is also an integral part of the Piscean vibe. Both Chiron and Neptune’s long-term transits through Pisces will ensure that all of humanity gradually moves into the vibration of love for all. In the meantime, don’t just dream of that happy day; make it so by beginning with you.

If you’re looking to master time and space, today’s harmonious solar connection to Saturn retrograde in Libra is a gift. And it works in tandem with Mercury in Pisces sextile Pluto in Capricorn. If you’re a mental traveler, visualizing the inner structure of your mind is possible now. It’s all about seeing beneath the surface, as well as seeing from every angle. Fleshing out your ideas and actually giving form to them is also part and parcel of today’s energy. Use this cosmic juice to bring your future goals from the abstract realm into concrete manifestation.

The Moon is in pragmatic and ambitious Capricorn today. It’s not the Moon’s most comfortable place to dwell, for emotions (which the Moon rules) are a bit of a nuisance in the Capricorn field of experience, which expects proof over taking anything on faith alone. One born under the Capricorn Moon might very well say: “My feelings are real. They are solid, dependable. But, unless they support my professional role, I will not rely on them. I will turn away from my feelings and persevere with my responsibilities.” Yet, feelings are as a source of information. Getting outdoors and connecting to trees and rocks will keep you in balance.

Moon in Sagittarius sextile Saturn retrograde in Libra is partly about getting somewhat philosophical about the most important relationships in your life. Questions such as, does this relationship serve my quest to be the very best version of me possible? can help your ongoing process of getting all of your relationships in right order – or letting some of them go. In aid of that, Mercury in Pisces sextile Jupiter in Taurus brings intuition and body-wisdom together to help you make choices from a grounded place of love.

Today Mercury – ruler of the mind – transitions from detached and scientific Aquarius to take it on faith Pisces. Over the next 2 ½ weeksthe conscious mind is flooded with imagery and symbols as a means by which to collect and sort data. Intuition and feelings are prominent, and the rational mind must be willing to relinquish strictly linear thinking in favour of multi-dimensionalism. Personal journal entries, poetry, creative visualization, and trips through the imaginal realm can help you mine the information that comes your way. Because Mercury encounters spiritual Neptune upon washing ashore, dreams and fantasies are paramount, and the intuition has a marked opportunity to purify its channel. This is a moment when intellect and intuition can be fused for those who wish to operate from both hemispheres of the brain simultaneously.

As the Moon in Scorpio makes her last quarter square to the Sun in Aquarius today, there’s a choice: to attach to whatever it is you’re obsessing over, or to let it go. Neither is right or wrong in and of itself, and each choice can represent an extreme. The question then becomes, which choice is the more loving one for your unique journey? The Scorpio Moon churns up deep and protective feelings, and can hold onto something, whether it serves the soul or not. Meanwhile, the Aquarius Sun can hold on equally well, though it’s ideas and concepts that the Aquarian vibe attaches itself to. That doesn’t necessarily mean that every idea is worth energizing. The tense 90-degree angle between the two Lights forces us to navigate both parts of our operating systems: the rational and the unseen mysterious.

Emotional boundaries become important today, as the Moon joins Saturn retrograde on the final degree of Libra. This could be one of those days when you feel obligated to suck it up for the sake of the group, or for your professional reputation. If you do need to don a mask, just remember to take it off at the appropriate time so that you can eventually return to your own centre.
